Svenskarnas Dag and Norway Day have a long tradition of holding separate events for over 80 years — but this year they will again collaborate to make an even bigger and better ethnic celebration for the Swedes, Norwegians and Scandinavian community.
This year’s fest will begin with a Midsommer Loppet 5k Family Fun Run at 8:30am (sign-in) follow-ed by a church service in Swedish and Norwegian at 11:00 a.m. Children are welcome to join in the Barnetog (children’s parade) and lead everyone to the Midsommarstång (Midsummer Pole) where all can dance and sing around the pole.
The afternoon continues at 1:00 p.m. with Swedish and Norwegian musical entertainment and dance, delightful and authentic Scandinavian foods, vendors, demonstrators, exhibitors, and handicrafts. The day ends with the crowning of the 2017 Miss Svenskarnas Dag.
A family friendly event with fun for all ages! Free admission! See you at Scandinavian Summer Fest!
